The Real Truth About Anastasia That You Probably Didn’t Know (life Series)
For those of you who don’t know, Anastasia is a movie based on the true-life story of a Russian royal family. But in this cartoon, they made some changes to the script. It kicks off with a princess collecting a gift from her grandma, and the family—a royal family—is just having a ball. Everyone is dancing, and then this guy called Rasputin (or so) walks in, harasses the king and his family, and places some kind of curse on them. The whole palace gets ruined because, of course, he's evil.
The grandma had to escape with Anastasia. But on the train, the grandma climbs first and tries pulling Ana up. Somehow, Ana’s hand slips from her grandma, and she’s not able to leave with her because the train is already moving at this time. That’s when they got separated. Ana’s father and mother didn’t survive the palace incident, which leaves just Ana and her grandma behind.
Years later, when Ana is grown, she stayed in an orphanage with no memory of who she was. She keeps trying to remember, but all she sees are dancing figures and music. One day, as she leaves the orphanage, she keeps singing that she needs a sign. Then this puppy comes from nowhere, pulling her towards Petersburg. Now, this is where it gets interesting.
The puppy again runs into the abandoned palace, and Ana, trying to be respectful, asks, "Is anyone here?" Meanwhile, Dmitry and his friends are holding auditions for the “real” Princess Ana. But when they saw that Ana was looking to travel to Paris, they offered her a chance to play the role of Princess Ana! After thinking about it, she took the offer.
This is where it gets tricky. The moment she sang in the palace, the curse was awakened, and immediately, the evil man who had been waiting to finish off the family already knew who she was. While Ana was trying to figure out who she was, the evil man had already figured it out. That’s how the devil works—he figures out who we are while we’re still blind and wallowing in self-doubt.
As usual, he followed them and tried everything he could to make the train have an accident. But after jumping from one coach to another, they managed to separate the train, and the other coach crashed hard. They probably would have died if they had still been on that coach. Next, he manipulated himself into her dreams, and she kept sleepwalking until she almost jumped off the boat, if not for Dmitry, who saved her.
Seeing this wasn’t working, he came himself after Ana met her grandma, intending to kill her. But thank God for Ana's bravery, along with Dmitry and her dog! What I am trying to say is the devil is so sure about who you are, and he doesn’t want you to become that person. He will make sure to fight you with all his might. The devil we are playing with isn’t playing with us.
That’s all I came to share. Sometimes, it would come as a form of distraction too
